It has been brought to our attention that one or more individuals have been calling individuals here in Andrew County that are on the State of Missouri's sex offender registry, giving a law enforcement officials name that are currently employed in the county and asking for money to avoid having a warrant issued in their name.
Please note that the Sheriff's Office will never call anyone and ask for money for a bond, a warrant avoidance or any other reason.
Please do not give out any personal information or banking information to these individuals. Our office is currently investigating the situation.
